<< more about PAUL NEINAST
In 1987 Neinast relocated his Snider Plaza salon to a 4,500-square-foot day
spa on Oak Lawn Avenue, complete with an Escada boutique and every beauty and
pampering treatment imaginable: hair styling, makeup, manicures, pedicures,
massage, facials, and seaweed, mud and salt wraps. To celebrate the opening of
the new salon, Neinast hosted a party. Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous and
Entertainment Tonight featured the gala, calling it The Place to be that Night.
Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, W, Women's Wear Daily, along with local media and
Texas-based magazines also covered the event.
The guest list of 250 read like a Who's Who in fashion, beauty and
entertainment. Honorary hosts included: Aida Grey, Susan Howard, and Gerard
Riveron with Eric Bertrand Jewelry from Geneva. Those attending included: Marta
Otega from Bulgari Jewelry in New York, Nancy Hammon, Loyd Taylor and Paxton
Gremillion of Loyd/Paxton, Dr. Michael and wife E.J. Rodgers, Sherri and Bobby
Burns, Maury and Susan Jaffers, Dr. Warren and Jill Katz, Eleanor Hudiburg, Ward
Lay, Lisa Hill, Janette and Jim Huff, Dan and Cookie Ownes, Delia and Sam Boyd,
Dr. Rob and Janet Tennery, Dr. Nancy Glass, Dorothy Lay, Caroline Hunt, Barbara
Veral, Mary Ann Bennett, Yvonne and Mayo Crum, Harriett Adams, Vera and Bob
Thornton, Ron Massingil, Michael Ballas, Carol Ann Brown, Martha and David
Tiller, Craig and Lynn Ligi, Paige Pickens, Linda Stuart, and many other of
Neinast's clients and socialites.
Shirley Lord at Vogue magazine said at this opening that she always feels
confident sending people of highest level to any of Neinast's salons. She
commented that his associates are gracious, service oriented, and pride
themselves on being there for customer. In addition, the salons are visually
inspiring with the latest, most luxurious decor and furnishings.
Paul Neinast Salon offered top-of-the-line services that rivaled those in
Beverly Hills, New York or Europe. He coordinated with Dallas top five-star
hotels, The Mansion, Adolphus and Fairmont, in particular, and offered his
services to their guests. Limousine drivers would drive clients to and from the
salon and Neinast would serve them lunch.
His clientele continue to fly in from California and New York just to get his
hands on their hair. He sees a range of customers from Dallas most active social
and civic leaders (both male and female) to career people and his reputation as
an expert in hair and skin care continued to grow.
But after a quick rise to the top, Neinast wanted another challenge. He stepped
back, took an assessment of where he was in his career and the direction he
wanted to go, and decided to close the doors to his salon so he could begin
developing his own product line. During this time Neinast was featured at the
salon at The Mansion on Turtle Creek, allowing him time to formulate his
products.
